Jim is the Vice-President of Managing General Agency Partnerships with The Canada Life Assurance Company, leading a dedicated team accountable for developing collaborative partnerships with managing general agencies.

Jim has been in the life insurance industry for over 33 years, holding a variety of senior insurance company roles dealing with advisor recruiting, operations, sales management and senior distribution management. At the same time Jim has remained close to the field and the customer, retaining his life and A&S licensing throughout his career.

He holds the designations of Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.

Jim served for six years as council member of the Alberta Insurance Council and has many other outside involvements, including board member of the Calgary Foundation. He is politically active and enjoys many outdoor sports and hobbies. Jim consults with, and continues to speak to, a variety of organizations both inside and outside the financial services industry.

Jim is a native Calgarian and continues to call Western Canada his home.
